Air Jordan 5 Retro Black Metallic (2016)

 🗣Initially released in the '90s as basketball shoes and introduced by legendary Nike designer Tinker Hatfield, the Jordan 5s rapidly garnered an insane level of hype on the streets for its iconic mesh netting and 3M tongue.

Seen here dressed with plush suede overlays throughout that sports a bold blue tone, the design is accentuated with grey accents that wrap around the lacing system. The said mesh panelling grace the lateral and medial sides joined with a chunky Jumpman branded tongue that houses reflective materials, and all that's needed is a flash of light aimed directly at it for you to see its glistening look. The legendary silhouette is rounded off a crisp white midsole underfoot fitted with a visible Air unit, and an icy blue translucent outsole.

This pair stays true to the original with all those design features that we love. The all black upper is contrasted with a translucent, perforated overlay to the sidewall. It gives some added breathability and gives that iconic look. Elsewhere and everything remains simplistic aside from the black midsole which showcases a white spiked overlay design. To finish, a chunky grey tongue compliments as does that lace toggle which has come to define the range.
